I have a hand lens that I got years ago to look at tiny rocks or something. Its a little 18mm lens with a fair amount of magnification, and I recently realized that I could use it to take some even more macro photos than usual by attaching it to the front of my phone camera and holding it in place with a rubber band. I like the results a lot. Luckily there was a spider patient enough to not be bothered by having a phone shoved right in it's face. I even accidentally bumped it a few times and it didn't seem to mind.
