I love fighting games.

In particular, I love guilty gear. In particular particular, I love Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +r and Xrd.

Playing fighting games is fun for me because it's hard. If you have played a sport or instrument then you know what I am talking about. The incredibly satisfying feeling of studying something, practicing it, improving yourself and then seeing the results in competition with other real people.

+r is my game of choice because of how fast it is and because I love the way the sound design and spritework come together to make an incredibly fun experience. While some of the mechanics take practice to get the hang of, I think they make the game feel super scrambly which is something I enjoy.

Noah_JD is a big inspiration for why I want to continue to get better at the game, in particular his videos about sidewinder loops and awesome slashback compilations

As the rest of this site probably makes clear, I'm also a big fan of Ramlethal. I have a huge soft spot for living weapon type characters learning to live for themselves. I even cosplayed her at an anime convention, more details in this post.
